An estimated 2,819 people were killed. The estimated number of New Yorkers battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to the 9/11 attacks is 422,000. September 11, 2001 changed the world forever. It is a day we, who were alive for it, will never forget. I was young when it happened but I will always remember that day; every single detail.

Pause. Say a prayer. Right now. Reflect. Meditate.

Think about all those who lost their lives that terrible day and also think of their families and those injured.

Now think of those killed and injured in the war that began because of these attacks on our beautiful country. And think of the families effected.

Now think about all of us, military spouses, and all those military families all over the world and what we all go through because of those 9/11 attacks.

It sure is amazing how in Junior High I was sitting in class learning of the trade tower attacks that I had know idea then that that horrible tragedy would effect my life forever. Each year on 9/11 I spend at least a portion of the day in solitude, praying, for this country and for everyone effected.  I hope that you can find a few minutes even if it's just the time you spent reading this post to remember this day and to reflect. Life is precious and can be stolen away from us so fast. We must cherish it.
